33. Valiant Valencia

The charming city of Valencia was excellent to explore after a huge transformation over the last 10-15 years. I especially loved that the city is close to the beach boardwalk.

Then the fact that the city has bits of nature everywhere felt very artistic and welcoming at the same time.

My favourite attraction was the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencies or City of Arts and Science. It’s where art meets science to create a medium of architecture.

Little streets and open areas all around were full of colourful and historical elements which all connected the city from the Baroque Valencia Cathedral to great graffiti displayed in open areas and older beautiful structures such as Torres de Quart.

For night adventures, Barrio del Carmen was amazing to see. There were creative cafes and trendy thrift shops. The neighbourhood had something to offer everyone from artists to businessmen. And of course for dinner, local paella de marisco was a must. I truly enjoyed the Valencia lifestyle as well as nightlife.
