14. Fun in Finland
FinnAir is my chosen airline to arrive at Vantaa Airport. The Scandic Paasi Hotel is the best place to stay in the city.
Next stop of course is to see my best friend, Amelia. She’s the only person who has known me since age 12 and we’ve remained friends over the years into our adulthood. Exploring the city centre is always a good time. The Ateneum is my favourite art destination. It has one of the largest collections of classic artworks.
For lunch, traditional Finnish food is lovely. We decided to visit one of the oldest restaurants, Juttutupa which dates back to 1884. Today’s meal included mashed potatoes, reindeer, lingonberry and pickles. Absolutely yum!
On this special occasion, my bestie also invited me to a magical moment in her life. The Lintu wedding!
It was an amazing opportunity to learn more about Finnish culture, heritage and history. And of course afterwards we went out to celebrate the ceremony. Definitely one of the best weddings I’ve ever attended.
