3. Beautiful Barbados
166 square miles across eleven parishes is true paradise. Starting the morning with a Bajan breakfast is key. This includes eggs, bakes, flying fish and plantains. Then hiking to North Cliff Point is worth it for lovely views. Lunch at my favourite restaurant, The Fish Pot is a must. Afternoon activities may consist of checking out Polo in Apes Hill or simply hitting the beach. There’s even a Cubana monument dedicated to the 1976 bombing for civilians lost to sea in Paynes Bay. And a coconut to cool off is recommended. For an adventure, zipling really gives you an adrenaline rush over the gully. To relax a bit, rum punch is always a good idea. Also, a trip to Harrison’s Cave is amazing to learn about the subterranean environment.
