4. Brilliant Brussels
Brussels sits at the centre of administrative, legislative, sociocultrual and political decision making for Europe. Yet there are many cute cafes, glamourous galleries and historical heritage sites. The best for me was the Grand Place. Then it was must to have waffles or les gaufes in French. Walking through the different neighbourhoods, language can vary from German, Flemish and/or French. It may be best to know at least one of those tongues. There is nature throughout the city which is something I love at various vantage points in Mont des Arts. Also, there are renowned artists featured in prominent museums such as Royal Fine Arts Musuem and Magritte Museum. Remember to stop by the Mannekin Pis for a good laugh. Mussels in white wine, kriek or Belgian beer is the best option for dinner. Giant cartoon characters in the city are amusing as well.
