6. Breathtaking Brasil
At 8.5 million square kilometers, Brasil has a cool coastline, home to the Amazon rainforest and considered an advanced emerging economic nation. Also my great grandparents are from here which makes it even more special to me. This factor allowed me to explore Lajinha Park and attend football camps in my youth in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerias; ride to Sugar Loaf Mountain via cable car, view Christ The Redeemer, get lost in Museu Nacional de Belas Artes and enjoy Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to practice my Portuguese during everyday interactions. My favourite city is São Paulo. There’s a vibrant art scene on the streets and located in iconic institutions. In my opinion, Kobra is the best graffiti artist. Then there are Brasilian artists featured in the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and the Museu de Arte Moderna de de São Paulo. And of course, a surprise structure within Ibirapuera Park.
One main attraction could be the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix. I have attended a few times and it’s always an amazing experience. The audience, the race, the food and the overall excitement.
Lastly, there is a thing called futebol which means football. It’s pretty much life for all Brasilians <3
