39. Warm Wales

A wonderful weekend away in Wales was just what I needed. The refined coastal city of Cardiff has distinctive culture at the National Museum, medieval architecture at Cardiff castle, cool cuisine called cawl, football fun at Cardiff National Stadium, nature trails in Bute Park and delicious dining at The Clink.

Swansea was a good time. The two towers on Swansea Castle were lovely. Then I enjoyed the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery. A taste of Wales, rarebit for instance can be found anywhere within the city centre. Since my cousin, Kevin Austin used to play for Swansea City, seeing Liberty Stadium is always special. An afternoon walk along Swansea Beach is calming before returning for dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants on Wind St to end the evening.
